New instrument, AccuSorp HP Physisorption analyzer – Performance under pressure

When choosing the right adsorbent for carbon capture, you can’t rely on low-pressure data alone.

A material that ranks highly at ambient conditions may be outperformed by one that looked unremarkable in early screening at the process-relevant pressures found in real CO2 capture and storage systems. Researchers from Micromeritics, part of Malvern Panalytical, used the AccuSorp HP to collect high-pressure CO2 adsorption isotherms across several zeolites and a microporous carbon. The results: the ranking from ambient screening isn’t the same as the ranking under pressure.

Operating up to 200 bar (up to 60 bar with CO2) with confirmed +/-0.1% error at 100 bar, dual analysis ports, and built-in pressure safeguards, the AccuSorp HP gives you data to make material selection decisions that hold at scale.
