Type II

Pure water from tap water

When to choose this option: You need larger quantities of pure water for general laboratory use (solution preparation, rinsing, buffers, etc.), not necessarily Type I purity.

Instruments

The AquaRO²DI and EDI² series is based on reverse osmosis (RO) with additional deionization for producing Type II purity water from tap water; the EDI² additionally treats water with an EDI cell and achieves the highest Type II purity in this series. Models come in several capacity levels (AquaRO²DI: 8–20 L/h; EDI²: 10–40 L/h) selected according to the laboratory’s needs.

Available configurations

Astacus² can be further adapted to your space and water-quality monitoring needs. The combination of these options is agreed in the quote.

TOC monitoring (TI version)

Continuous monitoring of TOC values (1–999 ppb) during operation and standby, displayed on screen.

Volumetric dosing

Precise dosing in increments of 0,1 L (range 0,1–99 L); prevents container overflow, unattended operation.

Bench-integrated (BI)

The unit is installed under the work surface; only the display and dispensing tap remain on the bench.

Wall mounting

The entire unit is mounted on the wall, with a tilted display for easier reading.

External pump

Compact pump for feeding laboratory equipment such as autoclaves or dishwashers.

Additional tank

Tank of 35 L, 70 L, or custom size (up to 500 L), optionally with a built-in UV lamp. Exception: AquaRO² 8 P10 has an integrated 10 L tank.

IQ/OQ documentation

Validation documentation (installation/operational qualification) for regulated environments.
