Thermomechanical Analysis
When to choose this option: You need the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), softening point, or penetration — including thin films and small samples.
The TMA7000 series of thermomechanical analyzers measures the change in sample dimensions (expansion, shrinkage, penetration) under a controlled mechanical load during a temperature change. Thanks to “Z-stabilizer” technology for noise reduction, sensitivity is twice that of the previous model, and the total expansion method does not restrict sample shape — from thin films to rigid composites. The series comprises two models, TMA7100 (up to 600°C) and TMA7300 (up to 1.500°C), and a simple probe change lets the same instrument cover a wide range of measurement modes: expansion, penetration, tension, as well as stress-strain, creep, stress relaxation, and dynamic mechanical (DMA) measurements via sinusoidal loading.
