The most widely used and most cited system for catalyst reactivity characterization – a complete laboratory for dynamic chemisorption and temperature-programmed reactions in a single instrument

  • Pulse chemisorption, TPR/TPO/TPD/TPSR, dynamic B.E.T., breakthrough curve, metal dispersion/surface area/crystallite size
  • 18 gas inlets in total (6 for preparation, 6 carrier, 6 loop) – the instrument is always ready for the next experiment
  • AutoCool and AutoTrap – fast cooling and moisture removal without cryogenic liquids or slush baths
  • KwikConnect – fast, secure sample tube connection without threaded fittings (patented)
AutoChem III

Details

  • Dynamic clamshell furnace up to 1200°C, heating rate 0.1-100°C/min with minimal overshoot
  • TCD detector 110% more sensitive than previous generations – smaller samples, detection of secondary reactions
  • Automatic detector calibration via patented gas blending (US Pat 10,487,954 B2)
  • Optional: mass spectrometer, steam generator, CryoCooler (down to -100°C), enhanced corrosion resistance version (ECR – Hastelloy, perfluoroelastomers)
  • Typical applications: net-zero technologies, fuel cells, partial oxidation, catalytic cracking and reforming, isomerization, hydrocracking (HDS/HDN), water-gas shift
